AWCP is happy to announce the completion of their school supplies drive for the school year 2025-2026! In May, we began collecting gently used school supplies and cash contributions to donate to our service partners for the back to school season. Starting June, we began packing and distributing boxes of various school supplies to three partner organizations, Holy Family Home in Taguig, Union Church of Manila Philippines Foundation (UCMPFI), and AHA Learning Center's new center soon to open in Makati.

The donation to Holy Family Home was sent and received on June 14, with Sister Lanie expressing heartfelt gratitude to the AWCP officers and members on behalf of the organization.
To UCMPFI, we donated supplies to two of their programs, the Child Education and Nutrition Enhancement Program (CENEP), a preschool and feeding program for children aged three to four as well as the Grace Enough to Ensure Secondary Education (GEESE) program that provides financial aid to high school age students through scholarships and monthly allowances while also monitoring their grades and home situations.

During our visit to the church, we got the chance to listen in on the CENEP teachers' training workshop where volunteer teachers travelled from across the country to share their stories, bond, and undergo further training for the new school year.

We were also able to attend the student orientation for the GEESE program at the DepEd center in Makati, where we learned in detail about the kind of assistance UCMPFI gives to its scholars.

We also visited one of the CENEP sites in Mandaluyong to tour the facility and sit in on how a normal school day and feeding would look like.

We're so honored and grateful to have been able to work with UCMPFI on this project and thankful to have been able to learn and see the amazing work they do!
Our last stop was AHA! Learning's new center in Makati. While AHA!'s new center was still a work in progress when we visited, we could tell that volunteers were hard at work to make the space a welcoming and fun environment to learn in. Thanks to AHA's team for the tour of the facility, and we can't wait to see the center come to life full of young, curious learners!

Thank you to all our partners for working with us and taking time to educate us on your causes, and thank you to our members as well for your kind donations and for making this project possible! We hope the supplies donated can help teachers and children with their classroom needs. Happy back to school season!
