AWCP Celebrates International Women's Month with EcoWings by Upskills

On March 16, 2026, AWCP supported the relaunch of EcoWings by Upskills+ Foundation to further our Period Poverty initiative and also to celebrate International Women's Month. EcoWings is a new initiative from the foundation to provide a sustainable solution to period care through upcycled, reusable period pads handmade in the community.

Held in the Better World Smokey Mountain facility in Tondo, Manila, AWCP leadership and volunteers were in attendance for the event.

Through the event, we were able to provide over 80 women and girls from the Tondo area with a pack each of EcoWings. Each pack of EcoWings includes four pads with a washbag, care instructions, and carrying pouch.

Participants also listened to an informative and interactive talk on feminine health with the foundation's nurse and welfare manager, and enjoyed snacks and beverages as well.
